Don’t look down on Africa!

Don’t look down on Africa!

I see a lot of news about Africa. If something bad happening, the media is going to be there, going to show. And yes, Africa has:

  • Riots
  • Poachers
  • Terror groups
  • Robbers
  • Corrupt politicians
  • Failed states
  • Some dictators (for example in the failed states)

But Africa olso has:

  • Countries that have lived in peace for a long time
  • Africa has much more better education than the begginning of the freedom (since end of the colonial systems)
  • Lot of country has democracy
  • The strongest, most terrible dictators failed
  • The remain dictatorships are mostly autocratic regimes, not totalitarian
  • Africa has no current war between countries
  • The continent is well on its way to historically exploring its own past (this is also necessary for development)
  • The population grew, but the number of starving people did not
  • African countries has lot of investors: India, Brazil, China, USA, Europe
  • In the case of India, Africa found more than just an investor. Africa has found a country from whose development it can learn a lot and Africa has gained a democratic friend (the US is not a democracy in its foreign policy, and Europe mainly consists of England and France for Africa). So India is a true friend, partner, investor, role model
  • Many millions of Africans work in other continents and transfer tens of billions of dollars back home. The amount of money transfer annually by African workers is equal to the total amount invested globally in Africa
  • Many African countries have invested large sums of money in renewable energy, which is one of the best investments in the world and pays off many times over for the continent.

For these reasons, Africa is developing very well in several places:
